  10. Organizing files properly

INSTRUCTION

Mr Fauhzi continued to share past students artworks, websites and projects, all of them looks very cool and artistic.

We were then assigned to do a physical collage made from cut out old magazines and old printed materials, we are free to do whatever type of collage we want to make.

We are also asked to create a pinterest account and a board specifically for DPI. Since I already have a pinterest account, I would only need to create the board. Mr Fauhzi encouraged us to find 3 graphic designs we like and put in in the board, and also to put it in the google docs and why we like the designs.

PRACTICAL

Here are the three artworks I chose :

Figure 1.1 Artwork by Lorrany Kirchmayer

I like this artwork because of the pretty collage the artist made, incorporating lots of flowers in the palm of the person’s hand. The flying collage of humans made it seem like they’re free, although as free as they are, there’s still a being bigger than they are. The color they put into this artwork is also very nice with soft pink and red.

Figure 1.2 Artwork by Klawe Reckzy

I really like this artwork too because of the abstracity of the project, and the simplicity of it only using 2 colors, black and red, on a beige, old-looking background. It also incorporates an abstract looking flower and mountain range collage.

Figure 1.3 Artwork by Ricky Linn

I really like the graphic design of this artwork firstly because of the bright colors of pink and yellow, I also really really love the digital painting of half of the human’s face and also how they incorporate collages into the artwork.

Afterwards, we were asked to play Bezier game to familiarize ourselves with the pen tool in photoshop. I find this game a bit challenging since I have very little background in photoshop, nevertheless I tried to do it as best as I can.

We are also asked to make a simple e-portfolio using blogspot. I am also new to blogspot so I hope the more experience I have, the better I can navigate and design this blog.
