INSTRUCTIONS
TASKS
For our second task, there were two main goals we need to achieve.
First one is to create a visual publication for our dissertation. This task asked us to create a visual publication like a magazine for our dissertation, we need to channel our inner graphic designer to work on this. For this I started with a style guide. Working on this I already knew my concept would be a minimalistic fashion style type of publication.
Afterwards I also started working on the table of content page. I left working on the cover page last minute because it was a bit confusing for me.
All throughout the whole publication, I take my photos and pictures from pexel and unsplash, both website offers copyright free pictures so long as I do not use it for commercial use.
Finished with those, I started collecting photos and started with layouting, importing texts from my draft and sectioned out where I want my picture to go and where I want my title to go. Finally I came up with this.
With the first draft of both publication and the draft done, we continued the classes by progressing to our second goal, which is finalizing our draft.
Dr Hayati mentioned a lot of things during our 1.5h feedback session but mainly it consists of me needing to add more and be more descriptive in a couple of sections. I missed some things too such as not using the right format for my in-text citation. I also added a couple of sections because apparently we need to make summary conclusion on each section. Other minor things such as punctuations and making clearer sentences were also mentioned.

So after revising everything in my dissertation, it was now final and I submitted it to turnitin. I got 4% on my similarity bar. Afterwards I proceed to fix my visual publication. With that, I have task 2 done.

REFLECTION
There was really not much of a problem when finalizing stuff, you already get most of them done in the first part. Working on the cover for the visual publication is particularly hard though as I ran out of ideas quickly. I was in a middle of a burn out too so everything felt a bit slower and I felt like I didnt do my best of some parts. After submitting the first (unrevised) publication I also realized I missed a lot of consistency in my design too.
